Wednesday, July 10: Istanbul & Safranbolu

An interesting lecture/discussion on Ottoman poetry at Koç Üniversitesi this morning.  At the Zalifre Hotel in Safranbolu, a long bus ride away from Istanbul...mostly because it took about 2 hours to get beyond the Istanbul traffic.  I'm not sure what the Turkish for "Mon dieu!" is, but I will find out. Safranbolu?  Think saffron!
